The University of New Haven is a small, private school located in West Haven., CT. UNH, as it is commonly referred to, has an enrollment of about 3,200 full-time undergraduate students, 500 part-time undergraduate students, and about 1,800 part-time graduate students. The student population is spilt 50/50 males and females, which shows how much this school has evolved over the years. If you're into athletics, UNH offers 18 varsity sports, nine men's and nine women's, which compete in NCAA Division II athletics. In addition, they also offer numerous intramural sports where any student can participate.

The campus is nestled on a hill just minutes outside of downtown New Haven, and was once part of Yale University. In 1920, the University of New Haven spilt from Yale to form their own school. For many years, UNH was known as a commuter school with very few on-campus residents. However, over the years this has changed and the school is constantly expanding.

If you're looking for a small, intimate classroom setting then the University of New Haven might be for you. The average class size is between 25-30 students depending on your major, and 95% of the classrooms are equipped with smart technology. This gives the students and professors the opportunity to form a relationship that could not otherwise be done at a larger university.

Some of the University of New Haven's most popular majors include Criminal Justice, Forensic Science, Sports Management, and Fire Science. In addition, this University offers degrees in Finance, Accounting, Communication, Business Administration, Dental Hygiene, Engineering, Psychology, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Tourism, and Event Management, Interior Design, Music Industry, and many other concentrations.

Some of the University of New Haven's most famous alumni include David Beckerman, CEO and Founder of Starter Corporation and Ray Margiano, CEO of Foot Solutions. In addition, Henry C. Lee, the world's most famous forensic scientist, is a lecture professor at the university and has been a key contributor to the growth of the forensic science program at UNH.

Having obtained an undergraduate degree in Sports Management and an M.B.A. in Business Policy and Strategic Leadership from the University of New Haven, I can give you first-hand knowledge of the school.
